KidSense Fun Packs: New Versions of Nabisco Favorites
East Hanover, NJ (March 28, 2005) – The latest snacking innovation from Nabisco is one parents will surely appreciate. Nabisco is introducing KidSense Fun Packs – exciting new snacks that offer the flavor and fun kids want, while providing sensible snack choices moms and dads can feel good about. KidSense Fun Packs are three new varieties of Nabisco favorites – Teddy Grahams Cubs (Cinnamon), Kraft Cheese Nips Sport Crisps and Smilin’ Ritz Bits – reformulated to address some of parents’ concerns around fat, sugar and artificial ingredients, while still maintaining the taste kids love. KidSense products meet Kraft's Sensible Snacking/Sensible Solution nutrition criteria for better-for-you cookies and crackers.
KidSense Fun Packs are packaged into single-serving pouches that provide a wholesome nutrition profile. A serving of each variety is made with 3g of whole grain, provides a good source of calcium, contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners, no trans fatty acids, 3g of total fat (with low to no saturated fat) and contains 100 calories. Each KidSense Fun Packs package also includes fun fitness tips that encourage kids to keep active.
“It’s not always easy for parents to find great-tasting, wholesome snacks that they feel good about giving their kids,” says registered dietitian and mom Janet Helm. “KidSense Fun Packs provide parents with sensible options for lunchtime, after-school or after-dinner snacks they know their kids will enjoy.”
KidSense Varieties
Each KidSense Fun Packs variety has a fun twist that enhances its appeal. The Teddy Grahams Cubs are cute, cuddly and delicious graham snacks with a touch of cinnamon. Kraft Cheese Nips Sport Crisps are sport-shaped snacks that fit perfectly with kids' active lifestyles. Smilin’ Ritz Bits really give kids something to smile about with a kid-friendly version of the traditional flaky and buttery crackers.
“As one of the world’s leading food companies, we are committed to providing sensible food choices for the entire family,” said Kathy Parker, senior director, new products, biscuit division, Kraft Foods. “We are pleased to be able to offer parents more great-tasting snack choices they can feel good about giving their kids.”
