Twelve National Winners to Have Faces Featured on Boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Receive Family Trips to Orlando and $5,000 Scholarships
(CHICAGO – July 22, 2005) – Say cheese! KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese is once again inviting kids across the country to express their love for "The Cheesiest". The national search begins August 1, 2005 and ends in early 2006, when 12 national winners will be named "The Cheesiest Kids in America."
Children across America ages 7-14 are invited to grab their pens, crayons or video cameras and get creative to tell or show why their love for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese makes them "The Cheesiest" . Each of the 12 winners will have their face featured on the front of a special edition box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, receive a trip for four to Orlando, Fla., where they will stay with their families at the newly opened Nickelodeon Family Suites, and receive a $5,000 scholarship.
"Kids are the heart of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to feature them on our famous blue box and award them with a scholarship to help them continue to grow,"said Charles Hemmingway, brand director, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. So You Think You're the Cheesiest?
The contest offers three creative ways for kids to demonstrate their love for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese: a written entry, such as a story or poem, a colorful drawing or a videotaped performance of acting, singing and/or dancing.
Kid storytellers can pen their entry in 100 words or less. Those with an artist's touch can create a one-dimensional drawing on an 8 ½" X 11" piece of paper, using any art medium. And, kids who love to perform are invited to submit a videotaped two-minute or less song, dance or acting routine. All three entry types must clearly demonstrate their love for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.
Contest Criteria
To enter, participants must be between the ages of seven (7) and fourteen (14). Six winners will be selected from two age categories – 7 to 10 and 11 to 14. Entries will be judged on originality and creativity (60%) and appropriateness to the contest theme (40%), which is defined by how much you love Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.
