CSPI to Dismiss Lawsuit Against Kraft for Capri Sun Labeling

NORTHFIELD, IL, January 26, 2007 -- Marc Firestone, Executive Vice President, Corporate and Legal Affairs for Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT), issued the following statement today:

"Kraft has been informed by the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) that they plan to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit filed in early January regarding the use of the term 'All Natural' on regular Capri Sun beverages.

We sincerely appreciate CSPI's willingness to discuss our extensive efforts to reformulate regular Capri Sun and redesign the package.

We're pleased that Kraft and CSPI were able to work constructively and collaboratively to quickly resolve this matter."

Kraft had been working for nearly a year to reformulate Capri Sun to add the antioxidant vitamins C and E and change the label to replace the phrase 'All Natural' with 'No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.'   The updated product and package will begin appearing on store shelves in February.
